Hello! My name is Michael Tucholski, and I am currently a senior in my last semester at the University of Akron.
I have lived in the Cleveland area my whole life, and look forward to potentially building a career here as well.
In my free time, I love to watch and play different sports, go fishing, watch movies, and try new food from all over.
I have experience with many different languages, including languages used for web based applications and software.
With my main development languages being Java and C++, I have made many different projects for my classes, ranging from artificial intelligence, to parallel processing with various methods, and object oriented programming.
My favorite project that I have worked on was a social media site called G-O. This site used different technologies to create a map that was centered at your current location, and show user posted events around you. By simply typing in "Progressive Field" into our search bar, our site would find the latitude and longitude from the words typed in and show you the events and posts around it. Click the link above to check it out!!!
I have gained enough experience over my years of development and design to create web applications and websites that are visually pleasing and work as intended. From my first web design class as a junior in high school to now, I believe I have grown a ton, and am very proud of my creations.
I have a couple years of experience from classes and projects with web development, using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP. I have used different APIs to complete the tasks I wanted to accomplish, to the extent and fullness of the specifications which I wanted. I have developed several full stack web applications, and implemented the proper security measures to keep data secure inside my databases.
As shown on the right, there are many different languages that I have experience with. Not only do I have experience with web development, but I also have experience with many different data structures and object oriented programming. I also have experience with Git and version control, not only with small personal projects but also on production level software with thousands, if not tens of thousands, of different classes.
Currently, I am working a part time internship for a company in Hudson, Ohio called Etactics. Etactics works on many different things, but I am currently on the development team for output solutions. Output solutions creates statements for various hospitals, dentists... anyone that will need statements sent out in the mail. We parse large text files that the company sends us, and convert it into a statement that you would receive in the mail. Click this link for examples of what I am currently creating. In addition to implementing new features for production, I am also learning new technologies such as Maven and CICD pipelines, Spring/SpringBoot, and learning the real professional way to develop professional software with agile developemnt techniques.
